In order for Real Madrid to be the best team they can be they will have to control that ball, but that will be very difficult because Barcelona are very good at getting the ball back as well. So, I guess Real always have a real chance at winning but, until someone learns how to beat Barca at their own game, they are out of luck. Counter attacks can only take you so far.
